The Gibbs program download consists of the program, thermodynamic data files and AFM-grid files. The program requires a Macintosh Power PC running system 8.0 or higher.
August, 2007. First compilation of Gibbs using Absoft Pro Fortran v 10 that generates code for Intel processors. It seems to work, but is largely untested. Please report any bugs.
Tested on Mac OSX v 10.4.10
Note that the Intel version will NOT WORK ON Power PC chip machines (i.e. any machine purchases before around May, 2005).

The April 23 2009 version is compiled with Absoft Fortran 10.2 and is more stable and faster than previous versions
This is a "beta release" (lol - all my versions are beta!). I am using the program using Mac OSX v 10.3.8, and I believe it will run under version 10.2 and up (untested). If you encounter difficulties, please contact tech support (spearf@rpi.edu). I'll do my best to see if I can fix it.

This "package" includes Programs Gibbs, GTB (Geothermobarometry), plus the tutorial notes (pdf format) for running Program Gibbs that was presented at the Northeast section meeting of the Geological Society of America at the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT on March 12, 2001.
