Getting the Programs for labs
PC users, get these program files:
STRAIN.EXE (shows deformed shapes for given strain tensor)
PLANEFIT.EXE (fits plane to XYZ data)
ROTATE.EXE (finds pole of rotation in Cartesian system)
MATINV.EXE (finds inverse of matrix)
Also get the auxiliary files
that are needed to run the above Visual Basic programs (put these files in your windows\system directory). To download the .dll and .vbx files, right-click on the names above. In Netscape, click Save Link As and it will save a file of the proper name.
If this does not work, get them by ftp at:
ftp://gretchen.geo.rpi.edu/pub/ig98
then right-click on the files you want to download.
Or by UNIX anonymous ftp, connect to gretchen.geo.rpi.edu (login name is 'anonymous', password is your email address). After connecting, type the following at the prompt:
cd pub/ig98
binary
prompt
mget *
bye
This will extract the files you need.
